Men's Leather Jacket Size Chart for India: S, M, L, XL, 2XL Explained

Indian jacket sizing is inconsistent across brands — and leather jackets have less tolerance for sizing error than fabric garments. This guide translates standard size labels into actual body measurements so you can order correctly the first time.

The Chest Measurement Method

Chest measurement is the primary sizing reference for leather jackets. Measure around the fullest part of your chest — under your arms, across your shoulder blades — with a measuring tape held horizontally and snug (not tight).

Standard Size Chart (Zamri India)

S (Small): Chest 34–36 inches | Best for men 55–65kg with a lean build

M (Medium): Chest 37–39 inches | The most common size for average Indian men

L (Large): Chest 40–42 inches | Athletic build or slightly broader chest

XL (Extra Large): Chest 43–45 inches | Broader build across chest and shoulders

2XL (Double Extra Large): Chest 46–48 inches | Full-chest, broader shoulder builds

The Shoulder Rule

Even if your chest measurement falls in one size, go by shoulder width if your shoulders are proportionally broader than average. The shoulder seam of a leather jacket cannot be adjusted — it must sit exactly at your shoulder point. A jacket with the right chest but wrong shoulder placement will always look wrong.

Fit Philosophy for Leather Jackets

Leather jackets are designed with minimal ease — 2–3 inches over body measurement. This gives a close but non-restrictive fit. If you prefer a more relaxed look or plan to layer thick sweaters underneath, size up by one.

When in Doubt

Size up, not down. You can always wear a slightly loose jacket — you cannot wear one that's tight across the shoulders without damaging the seams over time.
